To disable the audio or mic it’s necessary to login to the camera web GUI or interface, go to setup – camera – audio and uncheck the mic option, also lower the volume to minimum or “0”

For older recorders from 2018 and below, you will need to email the serial number to tech@watchnetinc.com requesting a password reset code and a tech will reply with the password reset procedure. Watchnet released a new app called MVS Pro+ which fixes the notification issue, download the new app
and re-add the devices and enable the multi-channel alarm subscription under device details.

Open notepad and paste this – cmd /c “set __COMPAT_LAYER=RUNASINVOKER && start “” “C:\Program Files (x86)\WatchNET Multisite Manager\WatchNET Multisite Manager\WatchNET Multisite Manager.exe”

change the exact path location of the .exe file of the multisite manager software and save the file as a .bat to make it executable and run without asking for administrator rights.

The sub stream was set to H.265 that’s why it’s not showing up on multi-view, as the older NVR doesn’t support H.265 compression switching it to H.264 will resolve the issue.

Private protocol authentication must be set to “Compatible mode” to connect to an older NVR’s

Older DVR only supports a maximum of 2MP resolution, to lower down the resolution of the XVI camera you’ll need to access the OSD menu but you also need to connect it to a DVR that supports the 5MP to be able to access the OSD or on screen menu.

You may have to short a connection, see attached picture.

Asked to switch all the camera type to CVBS if it all analog, also unplug some cameras that are down to prevent it to reboot.

To login via web interface, you’ll need to use edge and enable the IE mode or internet explorer mode, click the 3 dots on the top right corner then go to settings and click Default browser and change the “Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet explorer mode (IE mode) and then restart your browser.

Type in the address of the recorder and click the 3 dots again then select “reload in internet explorer mode”
